KODAK Picture Kiosk Version 8.1 Application Software on the KODAK Picture Kiosk

IMPORTANT
This update requires APEX V8.0, KPK V8.0, or KPK+ V3.0. This release adds support for the KODAK D4600 Photo Printer, and addresses several reliability issues.

Installation Instructions

  1. From the Main screen of the Kiosk, touch:
    • [Setup] Enter the password if necessary.  
    • [Install Software]
  2. Insert the 8.1/V3.1 Application Software CD into the Kiosk.
  3. At "Software Installation", touch [Check for Media].
  4. At "Installation CD Detected", touch [Install].
    The Kiosk restarts.
  5. When "Installation Complete" appears on the Kiosk:
    • Remove the CD from the CD drive.
    • Touch [OK].
  6. Does “KPK V8.1” or “KPK+ 3.1” appear in the lower left corner of the Main screen on the Kiosk?
  7. Install the software on each additional Kiosk.
  8. Store the CD in the sleeve.
    Installation is complete!
     

Installing the Version 8.1/3.1 Application Software
on a Multi-Station Picture Kiosk

 

 IMPORTANT

 

If you have a multi-station Kiosk, you must install the V8.1/3.1 software on the Host Kiosk. The Host Kiosk will install the software on the Satellite Kiosk(s) automatically.

  1. Touch [Setup]. Enter the password if necessary.
  2. Touch:
    • [Configure System Settings]
    • [Kiosk Network]
    • [Join/Leave Kiosk Network]

This is the Host Kiosk.


  1. Touch: [Start Over].
  2. Continue with Step 4.
  1. Touch:
    • [Start Over]
    • [Exit]
  2. Repeat Seps 1 - 2 for each additional Kiosk, until you locate the Host Kiosk.

  1. Do you know which Kiosk is the Host Kiosk?
  2. Does a check mark appear in the check box next to "Host Kiosk Network"?
  3. From the Main screen of the Host Kiosk, touch [Setup]. Enter the password if necessary.
  4. Touch [Install Software].
  5. Insert the V8.1/V3.1 Application Software CD into the Kiosk.
  6. At "Software Installation", touch [Check for Media].
  7. At "Installation CD Detected", touch [Install].

     NOTE

    The installation will take some time depending on your network connection and equipment. Once the Satellite Kiosk(s) displays the Service Mode message, you can leave the Kiosks unattended until they restart.

  8. Wait for "Installation Complete" to appear on the Kiosks.
  9. When "Installation Complete" appears on the Kiosk(s):
    • Remove the CD from the CD drive.
    • Touch [OK] on each Kiosk.
  10. Does "KPK V8.1" or "KPK +3.1" appear in the lower left corner of the Main screen on each Kiosk?
    Yes No
    Continue with Step 11. Install the software again. If it still does not appear,contact KODAK Service and Support.
  11. Store the CD in the sleeve.
    Installation is complete!
